Echoes of the Path consists of ten hand woven metal sculptures mounted on teak wood. It is an installation of sculptural nodes placed along the walkways of St. Nicholas Park, celebrating the park’s history and connection to the Harlem community. Each node serves as a visual guide, offering a harmonious blend of hand woven metal form juuxtaposed to nature inviting reflection and discovery. The installation transformed the park’s pathways into intervational journeys, fostering a deeper engagement with the natural and cultural rhythms of the urban landscape of Harlem. Launching in Spring 2024, the Harlem Sculpture Gardens was a groundbreaking initiative transforming historical Morningside, St. Nicholas, and Jackie Robinson parks into a vibrant exhibition space. In collaboration with the West Harlem Art Fund and New York Artist Equity Association, bringing sculpture, dance, and sound art to the heart of Harlem, celebrating its rich cultural tapestry.
